Ang Ku Kueh Girl x Yue Hwa Chinese Products for Chinese New Year 2026

Earlier this year, Ang Ku Kueh Girl and Friends celebrated Chinese New Year 2026 together with Yue Hwa Chinese Products department store, and we are still smiling about it.

The photos above say it better than we can. There is the Yue Hwa facade dressed up for the new year, the window display where Ang Ku Kueh Girl and her friends greeted everyone walking past, and the exclusive premiums we created specially for the occasion. Seeing our little characters in the windows of a store so many of us grew up with was a quietly emotional moment for us.

Yue Hwa has been a much-loved part of Singapore's heritage retail landscape for decades, a place many of us grew up visiting with our families in the run-up to the new year. Standing in that space with Ang Ku Kueh Girl and her friends felt like a homecoming of sorts. Two homegrown stories, both rooted in the same traditions, coming together for the most important festival of the year.

Chinese New Year has always been about the people we return to. The reunion dinners, the visiting, the little red packets passed from hand to hand, the small rituals that carry so much meaning. These are exactly the everyday moments Ang Ku Kueh Girl was created to celebrate, and we were honoured to add a little extra warmth to yours.
